Corydora hastatus

Corydoras hastatus are known for their peaceful and social nature. They are an excellent addition to a community aquarium, where they coexist harmoniously with a variety of other fish species. These small catfish are best kept in groups of five or more, as they thrive in the company of their own kind. When they feel safe and secure in their group, you can witness their delightful behaviour as they explore the substrate, sift through the sand, and occasionally swim to the surface to gulp in a breath of air.

Unlike their larger cory cousins, these pygmies are agile mid-level swimmers, often surprising enthusiasts with their energy and elegance.
