Denison Barb (Sahyadria denisonii)

Denison Barbs are striking freshwater fish renowned for their vibrant red and black striped pattern and energetic temperament. Native to fast-flowing streams in India's Western Ghats, these active swimmers require spacious aquariums with strong water circulation and plenty of hiding spots among rocks and driftwood. They thrive in cooler waters (22-26°C) and prefer to be kept in groups of at least three to display natural schooling behavior. Hardy and relatively easy to care for, Denison Barbs make excellent additions to community tanks with similarly-sized, peaceful fish. Their bold personality and striking coloration make them a captivating centrepiece for any aquascape
