Platydoras armatulus, commonly known as the Striped Raphael catfish, is a robust nocturnal bottom-dweller prized for its distinctive armoured plating and striking dark body with white lateral stripes. This wild-caught specimen exhibits the characteristic behaviour of its species remaining hidden during daylight hours and becoming active at dusk. Hardy and long-lived, it thrives in well-established aquariums with ample hiding spots, driftwood, and soft substrate.
